Case Study – Haywards Heath, Brighton

A quick trip down to Haywards Heath recently for two of our parquet specialist operatives to install a classic herringbone pattern oak parquet floor in a domestic property along with fitting some traditional oak strip flooring to a hallway and cladding some stairs in the same material to complement the floor.

The client chose 65mm x 450mm x 8mm oak battens with a two line Merbau feature strip border for in the lounge area and 89mm x 20mm oak strip for the hall and steps.

Once installed the unfinished timbers were sanded to a fine finish and three coats of a silk finish hard wearing lacquer applied. We also carried out small repairs to an existing parquet floor and buffed and re coated it to bring to back to life.
