Oak parquet – the daddy of the parquet species
As the most traditional and versatile parquet flooring timber oak is the most popular wood choice for parquet floor styles. Herringbone pattern oak parquet floors in prime, natural and rustic grades with two brick oak or feature borders is without doubt the most often specified parquet design of the many patterns on offer. The array of oak boards available include engineered parquet battens and dark fumed oak blocks as well as tumbled blocks for a distressed and aged look.
Hotels, houses and halls
This is by far the highest volume parquet floor we install. Specified by architects and selected by interior designers it remains the UK’s number one parquet floor style. It’s light but warm and is hugely popular in houses in London and Edinburgh. A recent installation for our company was the oak herringbone installation to the dining room at the Washington Hotel in Mayfair. The finished floor is stunning and adds to air of quality that this hotel exudes. Whether it’s a town house in London or a living room in Cardiff we have this flooring.
Surface finishes available include:
• Lacquer (gloss, semi-gloss, silk, matt)
