Grading
PRIME GRADE – This is the highest and cleanest grade available in wood flooring. This wood is cut from the centre of the tree; the wood from the centre of the tree is much more uniform and has far fewer knots & imperfections. It is the cleanest grade available, with the least natural variations and only small knots.
NATURE GRADE – This is a mixture of A and B grades. Nature A grade may contain small knots and variations. This grade does contain natural variations and may show minimal signs of historical insect inhabitation. All the oak is thoroughly treated during the manufacturing process.
CHARACTER GRADE – This is an extremely rustic grade which is made up of a mixture of C and D grades. This grade will contain large knots, some splits, and signs of historical insect inhabitation. All the oak is thoroughly treated during the manufacturing process.
Wood is a Natural product. Each parquet block is unique. Because of this, expect natural variations in colour, knots and shading.
Important! It is recommended that you always consult with a professional parquet floor fitter onsite prior to installation.
